AtlmetroCollege Readiness XPOSED is a 2-hour high impact and interactive workshop designed to help high school students prepare for college admission. Students will get exclusive insight of what goes on during the admissions process. The workshop will focus on providing students with fundamental knowledge to help students gain access to college. About the B.E.L.:
The B.E.L. Haiti Initiative is a program of the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. based in Atlanta, Georgia. This program provides an opportunity to a group of university students, entrepreneurs, and community organizers from Haiti the chance to explore business culture in the United States to find economic solutions, business plans and ideas. The program will last for 2 weeks and focuses on implementing business plans and ideas that can improve the economy of Haiti.

It was established to promote interest and develop quality in all phases of education for and about marketing. The GMEA encourages professional growth and cooperative interaction among all individuals groups involved in marketing education.

NextIn Line Network presented a school wide college fair at Stone Mountain High School on October 17th. Over 1000 students had the opportunity to network with 25+ Colleges. Students also had the opportunity to apply to a few colleges and granted acceptance.

Kimberly “Isis” Thomas of I Hear That Girl presented the “Make It Happen” Vision Board Workshop for QuadWorks LEAD at Mercer University. The vision board workshop is a 2-day workshop that will give students tools used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Vision Boards boost productivity because it is a physical manifestation of one’s vision. Research has shown that if you can see an outcome clearly, you are much more likely to achieve it. Students will create a vision board to help them:• Identify their vision and produce a plan to achieve it. • Reinforce daily affirmations. • Build a habit of self-empowerment by focusing on their gifts.

NextIN Line Network Founder Kicks off Speaker Series

NextIN Line Network Founder, Alton Walker, kicked off the speaker series at Stone Mountain High School. We are looking for business and community leaders who can volunteer their time to share their career choices with students in grades 9-12.  Guest speakers will   be asked to speak to various classes for 30 minute sessions with a 15-minute question and answer period to follow.  Recommended format includes:  details regarding your career organization, educational background and advancement opportunities as well as any other soft skills deemed helpful for high school students.  We also encourage our speakers to provide literature or novelty items to distribute during your presentations as well as engaging students in interactive games.
